I’m grateful we don’t live in a war

I’m grateful I live in a safe community
And don’t have to worry about stepping on landmines,

as many kids do
I’m grateful I don’t have to work in fields or factories
I’m grateful I have friends and lots of toys
I’m grateful I live in a country where kids and their parents

can say what they feel

I wish every child could live as I do
